After being graduated as Master of Industrial Sciences in chemical engineering, Ivan Peytier joined IMEC (Leuven) as process engineer, followed by a position in IMEC's Intellectual Property department as IP officer. From September 2006, Ivan joined BiiP as Senior IP Advisor to support its activities on business integrated intellectual property.

In his role as one of BiiP’s partners and being European Patent Attorney, Ivan developed a broad experience in managing and protecting intellectual property for small companies, as well as in the complex environment of multinational companies.
